KARACHI, July 11, 2025

The Aligarh Institute of Technology (AIT) held its 7th annual Hajj draw ceremony in a dignified and spiritual atmosphere, selecting two staff members for the sacred pilgrimage. The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran and a heartfelt tribute in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

The ceremony was skillfully hosted by AIT’s Vice Principal, Syed Rehan Ali. Among the esteemed guests were Chancellor of Sir Syed University, Mr. Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan, Vice Chancellor Dr. Jafar Nazir Usmani, AIT Convener Syed Muhammad Mohsin Kazim, Principal Shahid Jameel, and other distinguished personalities.
Chancellor Akbar Ali Khan praised the initiative as a meaningful step towards blending professional excellence with spiritual fulfillment.

The draw was conducted in a completely transparent manner, resulting in the selection of Abdul Kareem from the Security Department and Kashif Ali from the Maintenance Department for this sacred journey. In addition, the names of Muhammad Zohaib (Marketing Department) and Imran Jafar (Finance Department) were announced as alternates.

Speaking on the occasion, Chancellor Akbar Ali Khan remarked, “This initiative by Aligarh Institute beautifully reflects the institution’s commitment to Islamic values and staff appreciation. We hope to see such inspiring activities continue in the future.”

AIT Convener Syed Muhammad Mohsin Kazim emphasized, “Our goal is to ensure equal opportunities for all, creating an environment that is spiritually uplifting as well as professionally enriching.”

Principal Shahid Jameel stated, “This marks the seventh annual Hajj draw at Aligarh Institute, and each year we strive to make this blessed tradition even more meaningful.”
