Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were honored with the Humanitarians of the Year Award at the Project Healthy Minds Annual Gala in New York on Thursday, October 9. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex received the recognition for their remarkable contributions to mental health awareness and their efforts to create a safer digital space for families and young people.
Dressed in elegant matching black outfits, the royal couple made a striking appearance at the star-studded event. Meghan turned heads in a sleek black suit, while Prince Harry looked sharp in a classic tailored ensemble.
During their acceptance speech, Meghan reflected on the challenges parents face in the digital age, sharing heartfelt thoughts about how quickly their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are growing up. Prince Harry also highlighted the mission of their foundation, Archewell, and its initiative, The Parents Network, which supports families affected by online and social media harm.
“Working with families and young people to prioritize safety online has been some of the most meaningful work of our lives,” the couple said in a statement before the event. They also expressed pride in their long-standing partnership with Project Healthy Minds, emphasizing their shared goal of addressing one of today’s most urgent mental health issues.
The royal duo is also expected to appear at Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Festival on Saturday, continuing their advocacy for digital well-being and emotional health.
