The intensity of the dengue virus has surged again in Azad Kashmir, with 117 new cases confirmed within the last 24 hours.
According to the latest updates provided by the Dengue Control Room, the total number of infected patients has reached 2,630. Among them, 1,996 cases have been reported in Muzaffarabad, 115 in Bagh, 400 in Mirpur, and 16 in Jhelum Valley.
Additionally, 33 cases have been reported in Neelum, 3 in Sudhnoti, 6 in Haveli, 39 in Poonch, and 11 each in Kotli and Bhimber districts.
Currently, 16 patients are under treatment in various hospitals across Azad Kashmir, while 369 patients have been discharged after recovering.
In view of the spread of the dengue virus, the Health Department has advised citizens to take precautionary measures and adopt protective steps to prevent mosquito bites.
