The beloved Jumanji franchise is ready to roll the dice once again, as production for its next adventure begins this November in Los Angeles.
Director Jake Kasdan who helmed the 2017 hit Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and its 2019 sequel The Next Level is returning to direct the upcoming film. The star-studded cast will reunite familiar faces including Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan.
Adding fresh energy to the ensemble are Brittany O’Grady (The White Lotus) and Burn Gorman (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes).
The film’s screenplay is penned by Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg, while Matt Tolmach, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and Dwayne Johnson serve as producers. Sony Pictures has slated the release for December 11, 2026.
Originally inspired by Chris Van Allsburg’s 1981 children’s book, the Jumanji universe first came to life in the 1995 classic starring the late Robin Williams. Decades later, the franchise was successfully revived with modern, action packed adventures blending comedy and fantasy.
While the plot and character details of the upcoming film remain under wraps, fans can expect another wild, game-filled ride into the unpredictable world of Jumanji.
