In Lahore, police have registered 25 cases against members of a religious organization involved in recent demonstrations. The cases were filed under various sections, including terrorism, murder, attempted murder, abduction, rioting, and vandalism.
According to police officials, the FIRs were lodged in multiple police stations, including Islam Pura, New Anarkali, Shafiqabad, Gawalmandi, Badami Bagh, and Shahdara. Law enforcement authorities stated that the protestors were responsible for violent acts that disrupted public order and caused property damage.
The police further confirmed that the cases have been registered on their behalf, following violent clashes during the demonstrations. Several individuals are being identified through video footage and other evidence.
