Pakistan is set to welcome Saudi performers for the first time at the upcoming World Culture Festival 2025, to be held in Karachi from October 31 to December 7.

Organized by the Arts Council of Pakistan, the festival will bring together artists from 141 countries, showcasing the world’s cultural diversity through music, theatre, dance, film, and visual arts.

Arts Council President Muhammad Ahmed Shah described the event as “the biggest cultural festival in the world,” emphasizing its mission to promote peace, unity, and cross-cultural dialogue. He also expressed gratitude to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for supporting the participation of Saudi cultural groups in the festival.

The event will feature an impressive lineup — including 45 stage plays, 60 musical performances, 25 dance shows, six art exhibitions, 25 workshops, and 15 talks with artists and cultural leaders from around the globe.

According to the organizers, this year’s edition has already received more than 2,800 film submissions, with interest from filmmakers not only across the Middle East but also from India and Israel, highlighting the festival’s growing global appeal.

The participation of Saudi performers marks a milestone in the strengthening of Pakistan–Saudi cultural ties, reflecting both nations’ commitment to enhancing artistic collaboration and mutual understanding through cultural exchange.
