KARACHI: The Young Doctors’ Association (YDA) Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) has expressed full solidarity with the ongoing protest by administrative officers and clerical staff, who are demanding their due promotions and rightful appointments to key positions within the institution. The association emphasized that the employees of JPMC have long served with dedication and deserve fair recognition and opportunities for career advancement.
YDA JPMC called upon the Honorable Health Minister to intervene and ensure justice for JPMC employees, while urging the Health Secretary to expedite the promotion process and ensure that key administrative posts are occupied by qualified JPMC staff. The association also appealed to the Executive Director JPMC to take immediate action to resolve the issue in the interest of institutional efficiency and fairness.
The YDA highlighted that the lack of promotions and the appointment of non-JPMC personnel to crucial positions have resulted in inefficiency and administrative hurdles, ultimately affecting patient care and hospital performance. The association warned that if the concerns of the employees are not addressed promptly, the protests may intensify.
YDA JPMC reaffirmed its commitment to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with all JPMC employees in their struggle for justice, transparency, and institutional reform.
