The government has decided to conduct another survey regarding the increase in medicine prices.
According to sources, a second survey will be carried out to determine how much medicine prices have increased in the open market over the past one and a half years. The Ministry of National Health and DRAP will submit their proposals for the new survey within two weeks.
In the second survey, data will be collected from additional new cities. The Ministry of National Health had previously conducted a medicine price survey on August 10. The new survey on medicine prices will be compared with the previous one, and both reports will be presented to the Prime Minister.
According to sources, the Prime Minister will make a decision regarding the deregulation of medicines based on the survey reports. The first survey indicated that medicine prices had increased by 30 to 40 percent.
