Some people cannot live without coffee; their day begins with a cup of coffee and ends with one as well.

‎Although coffee is very beneficial for health, consuming it incorrectly can also cause harm.

‎Therefore, Dr. Trisha Pasricha from Harvard University has shared seven tips to gain the maximum benefits from coffee.

‎1- A 2022 study revealed that people who drink unsweetened coffee have a lower risk of death compared to those who drink sweetened coffee. It was also found that people who drink more than four cups of coffee daily tend to live longer. Only one teaspoon of sugar should be used in a cup of coffee.

‎2- Avoid ultra processed coffee creamers because many popular or seasonal creamers contain vegetable oil as a main ingredient, along with one to two teaspoons of sugar. Instead of creamers, add cinnamon to enhance the flavor of your coffee.

‎3- Research is ongoing about the use of artificial sweeteners instead of sugar in coffee, but evidence so far suggests that artificial sweeteners should not be considered a healthy alternative for everyone.

‎4- Experts say that drinking three to five cups of espresso or more than six cups of French press coffee daily can raise cholesterol levels, so caution is advised.

‎5- A 2022 study on instant coffee found that ground coffee, instant coffee, and decaffeinated coffee provide similar health benefits.

‎6- A recent study conducted on 40,000 American adults showed that those who drank coffee before noon had a 16 percent lower risk of dying from fatal diseases.

‎7- Drinking too much coffee in the afternoon or evening reduces melatonin release by nearly 30 percent, which not only affects sleep but can also harm health. Therefore, excessive coffee consumption during afternoon and evening hours should be avoided.
