RAWALPINDI: Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first in the second ODI against Sri Lanka at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Pakistan’s regular ODI captain Shaheen Shah Afridi has been ruled out of the match after falling ill with the flu.

Stand-in captain Salman Ali Agha said at the toss:
“Shaheen is unwell, and Faheem is also unavailable. Abrar Ahmed and Wasim Jr come into the side.”

The match was originally scheduled for Thursday but was rescheduled after Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) reviewed security concerns following Tuesday’s suicide attack in Islamabad, which resulted in 12 deaths and 36 injuries near a local court.

The final ODI of the series will now be played at the same venue on November 16.
