The national vaccination campaign for the prevention of measles, rubella, and polio officially begins.

‎The national vaccination campaign to prevent measles, rubella, and polio has officially started today and will continue until November 29.

‎According to the National EOC, during the campaign, 35.4 million children will be administered the measles and rubella vaccine.

‎In 90 high risk districts across the country, 23.3 million children will be given polio drops this week. All children aged six months to five years will receive the measles and rubella vaccination. The vaccines will be provided at government health centers, schools, madrasas, and temporary vaccination centers.

‎Officials said that during the national measles and rubella campaign, polio drops will be administered to approximately 6.8 million children in Punjab, 2.246 million in Balochistan, over 8.4 million in Sindh, and 5.246 million in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Similarly, 136,000 children in Gilgit Baltistan and 461,000 in Islamabad will receive polio drops.

‎The National EOC stated that more than 17.3 million children in Punjab, 8.263 million in Sindh, 5.988 million in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2.73 million in Balochistan, 624,000 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 246,000 in Gilgit Baltistan, and 225,000 in Islamabad will receive the measles and rubella vaccine.

‎Officials have urged parents to ensure their children are vaccinated and protected against measles, rubella, and polio.
