Eyes are among the most delicate and sensitive organs of the human body, and protection from air pollution, reduced screen time, and precautionary measures are essential to safeguard them, otherwise there is a risk of eye diseases.

‎Due to air pollution and an unhealthy lifestyle, poor eye health has become a common issue. Vision problems can hinder basic daily activities, making it necessary to take proper care of eye health.

‎Increasing air pollution in major cities has started to negatively affect not only overall human health but also the eyes. According to experts, polluted air is contributing to a rise in eye diseases as well as respiratory and lung conditions. Issues such as eye irritation, itching, redness, and excessive tearing are becoming increasingly common.

‎Medical experts say that particles from pollution can enter the eyes, causing discomfort and potentially leading to serious problems if precautions are not taken in time. Therefore, it is important for citizens to adopt preventive measures to protect their own and their families’ eye health.

‎Experts recommend washing the eyes daily with clean water to remove dust and polluted particles. In addition, touching the eyes without washing hands should be avoided, as germs on dirty hands can cause infections.

‎Furthermore, rubbing the eyes should be avoided as it can increase dryness and inflammation. Using eye drops on a doctor’s advice helps keep the eyes moist and prevents dryness.

‎Wearing sunglasses when going outside is considered highly beneficial, as they protect the eyes not only from harmful rays but also from dust. Similarly, if any discomfort is felt in the eyes, one should immediately consult a doctor to ensure timely treatment.

‎Experts also advise limiting the use of mobile phones and screens in case of eye infection, as it can increase strain on the eyes. If any discomfort is experienced, immediate consultation with a healthcare professional is recommended.
