Saudi Arabia has announced new restrictions for Hajj 2026 visas, barring individuals with serious chronic or contagious medical conditions. These include kidney failure requiring dialysis, severe heart disease, liver cirrhosis, advanced lung diseases needing oxygen support, and neurological disorders.

The restrictions also apply to elderly pilgrims with dementia, pregnant women in late or high-risk stages, and people suffering from infectious illnesses such as open tuberculosis or hemorrhagic fever. Cancer patients undergoing treatment are likewise ineligible.

Saudi authorities will conduct strict medical fitness checks at both entry and exit points. Any false health declarations may result in deportation at the pilgrim’s own expense.
