Punjab’s official driving licence portal, DLIMS, has gone offline, disrupting all digital services for licence applicants and holders across the province.
The outage has halted new learner’s licence applications, renewals, e-license downloads, and status tracking, causing inconvenience and delays—especially for citizens with urgent licensing needs.
Authorities have not yet issued a statement regarding the cause of the disruption or when the system will be restored.
DLIMS, designed to streamline driving-licence processing and reduce physical visits to offices, has long been promoted as a faster and more efficient alternative to paperwork-heavy procedures. With the system now inaccessible, the digital convenience it offered has suddenly vanished, leaving residents waiting once again.
