Talha Anjum has once again secured the title of Pakistan’s most streamed artist, according to Spotify’s Wrapped 2025 report released on Friday. This marks his second consecutive year leading the national rankings, proving his strong and growing influence in the country’s music landscape.

The report shows that out of 30 Pakistani songs featured on Spotify’s global list, 17 were performed by Talha. He stood just behind Atif Aslam in overall popularity and continues to be a major favorite among Gen Z listeners.

Spotify also highlighted other rising stars, including Umair and Hasan Raheem, who made it to the top ten local artists list. The platform reported a clear shift toward Pakistani content, with audiences increasingly supporting homegrown music.

The most-streamed tracks of 2025 included hit songs like “Jhol,” “Mand,” and “Pal Pal,” while Talha’s album “Safar” dominated the albums chart. Hip-hop songs such as “Open Letter” and “My Terrible Mind” also gained strong traction, showing the rising popularity of contemporary urban music among young Pakistanis.

Despite his chart topping success, Talha Anjum recently faced criticism after accepting an Indian flag from a fan during a concert in Nepal. The moment triggered backlash from some media outlets and celebrities. Talha later clarified that he accepted the flag purely out of respect for the fan and not as a political statement, stressing that personal admiration should not be linked to government actions or national policies.
