Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan had a disappointing start to his Big Bash League career as his debut ended on a low note. Playing for Melbourne Renegades in Geelong, Rizwan managed only 4 runs off 10 balls before being dismissed, failing to capitalise in a high-scoring encounter.
Renegades posted a massive total of 212 for 5, with other batters scoring freely, but Rizwan struggled to find momentum and was removed by Patrick Dooley. His dismissal came at a time when the team was looking to accelerate further.
It was Rizwan’s first-ever appearance in the Big Bash League, and while the start was quiet, the experienced campaigner will be hoping to bounce back strongly in the upcoming matches and make a bigger impact for his side.
