‎A new study has found that pregnant women who receive the COVID 19 vaccine have a lower risk of preterm birth.

‎The study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, also found that vaccination was associated with reduced chances of hospitalization or ICU admission among pregnant women.

‎Senior researcher of the study, Dr Debra Moomy, said that the findings show COVID 19 vaccination protects pregnant women and their babies from complications.

‎She said that although the virus continues to change its form, vaccination protects both the mother and the baby from complications.

‎According to the researchers, the study included outcomes from nearly 20,000 pregnancies in total.
