Kasur: A suspect was killed during an alleged police encounter within the jurisdiction of Raja Jang Police Station after reportedly being hit by gunfire from his own accomplices.
According to police sources, the suspect was involved in the rape and murder of a five-year-old child in Haveli Khushhal Singh a few days ago. The accused was said to be a neighbor of the victim.
Police confirmed that the deceased suspect was identified as Umar. Following widespread media coverage of the incident, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz took notice of the case and sought a report from authorities.
