Lahore: Police have arrested three individuals in Murghzar Colony, Hanjarwal, on charges of unlawfully confining animals, starving them, and subjecting them to abuse.
According to police, the accused — identified as Ali Raza, Kashif, and Hassan Ali — were operating an alleged clinic. During the raid, police recovered 10 cats, three female dogs, and their offspring. Five kittens were found dead at the scene.
The FIR states that the suspects admitted to recording videos of animals and uploading them on social media. Police further revealed that one of the accused, Hassan Ali, was impersonating a doctor and personally conducting examinations on the animals.
Police officials said that several pregnant cats in critical condition were rescued. All three suspects have been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.
A case has been registered at Hanjarwal Police Station on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Muhammad Bilal Yahya.
