‎A high level Saudi delegation met with the Federal Health Minister and officials of leading pharmaceutical companies in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

‎Owners of vaccine manufacturing companies in Pakistan also participated in the meeting. The delegation appreciated Pakistan’s vaccine manufacturing capabilities and the performance of its pharmaceutical industry.

‎The delegation praised the Government of Pakistan’s revolutionary initiatives in the health sector and the current business environment, saying that with mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, both countries would become self sufficient in the field of vaccines.

‎On the other hand, Mustafa Kamal said that cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in the health sector would set an example for the region and that local vaccine production would save valuable foreign exchange.

‎He further said that Pakistan is rapidly moving toward self sufficiency by developing local vaccine production capacity and is ensuring all practical steps for domestic vaccine manufacturing.
