An initiative of the World Health Organization and the Government of Pakistan, preparations for free cancer medicines for children have been completed in four major hospitals of Pakistan.

‎More than 8,000 Pakistani children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and by the end of 2026 the supply of free and quality cancer medicines will begin.

‎Pakistan has joined the global platform and become the second country in the region, with a target set to double the survival rate of children by 2030.

‎UNICEF will procure the medicines and ensure their delivery to Pakistan, while globally 400,000 children are diagnosed with cancer every year.
