The rising prices of medicines in Faisalabad have created severe difficulties for citizens.
Affected items include sugar screening kits, insulin, flour, vitamins, and other medical drugs, which are becoming unaffordable for the general public.
President of the Wholesale Chemists and Druggists Association, Rana Farooq Azam Naro, said that the government has given pharmaceutical companies the authority to set prices, resulting in continuous increases.
He suggested that the government should immediately transfer this authority to DRAP so that financial relief can be provided to the public.
Rana Farooq Azam Naro further warned that due to rising prices, disputes between citizens and shopkeepers are increasing in the market, which is also negatively affecting the overall sale and availability of medicines.
He emphasized that immediate government intervention is necessary to resolve this issue so that the general public can afford basic medicines and market tensions can be reduced.
