An alert has been issued by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan regarding four different medicines, including Aprolec injection used for pain, Neudex injection used for allergy and inflammation, and another injection used for muscles and strength.

‎According to details, the Health Department of the Government of Punjab has issued a public notice declaring four specific medicines (injections and a bandage) as substandard and adulterated, and has immediately banned their use.

‎According to reports, the Directorate of Drugs Control Punjab declared four different medicines substandard and adulterated following findings from provincial drug testing laboratories.

‎The Health Department has termed specific batches of these medicines dangerous to human health and has issued a medicine recall alert.

‎Specific batches of medicines have been found substandard, including Aprolec injection used for pain, Neudex injection used for allergy and inflammation, injections used for muscles and strength, as well as Paratol wound dressing bandage.

‎The government has issued strict instructions to the relevant manufacturers and distributors to immediately recall these specific batches from the market.

‎Authorities have directed that a recall form be uploaded on the website of the Drug Regulatory Authority, and that the causes of the defect be identified and a corrective report be submitted.

‎The Health Department has ordered medical stores, pharmacies, and hospitals to immediately stop the sale of these medicines and inform the relevant drug inspector about the existing stock.

‎The general public and patients have been strictly advised to immediately stop using these specific batches, as they may pose a serious risk to health.

‎The government has also directed the concerned companies to immediately withdraw all defective products from the market. If anyone experiences any adverse effects from these medicines, they can file a complaint via the email provided by the Health Department.
