Unknown assailants opened fire on an anti polio team in Hangu city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in injuries to a police constable deployed for security.
According to police, the incident occurred in the Darsamand area of Hangu. The injured officer was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital where he is receiving medical treatment.
Officials said that due to the timely response by police, the anti polio team remained safe. According to police, a search operation is underway in the area to arrest the fleeing suspects.
