The first case of Congo hemorrhagic fever has been confirmed in Sindh.
All symptoms of the Congo virus have been found in a 17 year old boy, who is currently under treatment in intensive care.
The patient is suffering from high fever and bleeding symptoms. The Congo virus is transmitted through the bite of ticks found on livestock or animals, and the affected individual was involved in taking care of livestock.
The Health Department has advised citizens to adopt precautionary measures ahead of Eid ul Adha and to wear gloves before handling animals.
