Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has said preparations are underway for the final phase of its movement against the imprisonment of party founder Imran Khan.
According to PTI leaders, the party is mobilising workers and supporters across the country to increase pressure for Imran Khan’s release. The party says the next phase of the movement will be decisive and will include public gatherings, protests and political mobilisation.
Imran Khan has been in jail since August 2023, while PTI maintains that the cases against him are politically motivated. The government, however, has repeatedly rejected PTI’s allegations and says legal proceedings are being carried out according to the law.
PTI leaders have also urged party workers to remain prepared for future protest calls. In recent months, the party has launched several protest campaigns demanding Imran Khan’s release, while authorities have responded with security measures and arrests in different cities.
The latest statement comes amid continuing political tension between the opposition party and the government, as PTI seeks to build momentum for its campaign.
