A Karachi court has rejected the bail plea of an accused in a case involving alleged blackmail and explicit videos.
During the hearing, the prosecution opposed the bail request and argued that the accused was involved in harassing and blackmailing the complainant through objectionable videos. The court, after reviewing the arguments and case record, dismissed the bail application.
The case was registered under relevant provisions related to harassment, blackmail and misuse of explicit material. Investigators said further inquiry into the matter is underway.
The court observed that allegations of blackmail through private videos are serious and require proper legal proceedings. The accused will remain in custody as the case continues.
