A video regarding the birth of a baby in the washroom of Karachi’s Jinnah Hospital has gone viral on social media. In the video, four family members claimed that doctors gave them a one hour waiting time for the delivery.
The affected woman said that they repeatedly requested doctors to conduct a checkup, but no one even examined her. She claimed that after suffering in pain for four hours, she gave birth to the baby in the washroom.
On the other hand, the hospital administration stated that the baby was born in the labor room and that allegations regarding a washroom delivery are baseless. According to the administration, the delivery took place at 2:50 am.
The woman gave birth to a healthy baby girl. The patient, who was brought from PHI Hospital, was immediately examined in the gynecology emergency department.
According to the administration, blood and FFPs were provided due to the patient’s high risk condition. Furthermore, the patient was kept under observation and monitoring after the delivery.
