Russian scientists have developed a new vaccine for the treatment of cancer, which is now ready for clinical use.

‎The announcement was made by the head of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA), Veronika Skvortsova, at the Eastern Economic Forum, while Russian news agency TASS confirmed the development.

‎The vaccine has been named Enteromix and is based on mRNA technology, the same technology used in some COVID-19 vaccines.

‎Unlike traditional methods that use weakened viruses, this treatment trains the body’s cells to produce proteins that activate the immune system to respond against cancer cells.

‎The vaccine has been under research for several years, including three years of preclinical trials. The experiments showed that the vaccine is safe even after repeated use, and in some cancer cases, tumor growth was reduced by 60 to 80 percent or slowed down significantly.
