A major donor to U.S. President Donald Trump has donated a luxury estate worth approximately $5.5 million to an anti-vaccine organization founded by U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., according to newly revealed property records.

The donor, Timothy Mellon, reportedly transferred two Connecticut properties spanning nearly 300 acres to Children’s Health Defense, a group known for its criticism of vaccines and public health policies. The organization was founded by Kennedy, who previously served as its chairman.

Reports indicate that the estate includes multiple residential buildings, recreational facilities, and extensive land. Mellon is also said to have covered certain maintenance and insurance costs associated with the property transfer.

The donation has drawn renewed attention to the financial backing behind organizations involved in vaccine-related advocacy and has sparked debate among public health experts and political observers. Critics argue that such contributions could increase the influence of groups that challenge established vaccine policies, while supporters view the donation as backing for medical freedom and independent health research.

Mellon was one of the largest political donors during the 2024 U.S. election cycle, contributing tens of millions of dollars to campaigns and political action committees supporting both Trump and Kennedy.

Analysts say the disclosure highlights the growing intersection of politics, philanthropy, and public health debates in the United States, particularly as vaccine policy remains a highly discussed issue across the country.
