The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested four suspects in Lahore during separate operations against illegal currency exchange and copyright infringement activities.

According to FIA officials, two suspects — Shahid Ilyas and Shahid Nazir — were allegedly involved in unauthorized hawala/hundi and illegal currency exchange businesses. During the raid, authorities recovered Pakistani currency worth Rs20.4 million along with foreign currencies, including US dollars, Australian dollars, UAE dirhams, British pounds, and Saudi riyals. Investigators also seized documentary records and digital evidence linked to the illegal transactions.

In separate raids, FIA arrested Noor-ul-Mujtaba and Arsalan Imtiaz for allegedly violating copyright laws by manufacturing and selling counterfeit branded products. Officials said a large quantity of fake products belonging to registered companies was recovered from the suspects.

The FIA stated that further investigations are underway to identify other individuals connected to the illegal operations.
