GILGIT-BALTISTAN:
According to political sources, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have reached an understanding to form a coalition government in Gilgit-Baltistan following recent electoral developments.
Sources claim that initial talks between the two major parties focused on power-sharing arrangements, cabinet formation, and key administrative positions in the upcoming government setup. The agreement is said to aim at ensuring political stability in the region.
However, no official announcement has been made by either party so far, and negotiations are reportedly still ongoing on final details of the coalition framework.
Political observers note that coalition governments are a common feature in Gilgit-Baltistan’s assembly due to fragmented electoral outcomes and the need for alliance-building among major parties.
If finalized, the coalition could play a key role in shaping governance priorities, development policies, and administrative decisions in the region.
