ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated the federal government’s commitment to ensuring balanced development across all provinces, stressing that national progress depends on inclusive growth and equal opportunities for every region of the country.
Addressing the National Assembly, the prime minister said the government remains focused on addressing the development needs of all provinces through enhanced cooperation with provincial administrations and targeted investment in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and public welfare projects.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the federation is committed to strengthening provincial economies and ensuring that development resources are distributed fairly. He noted that efforts are underway to accelerate projects aimed at improving connectivity, creating employment opportunities, and raising living standards across the country.
The prime minister highlighted the importance of national unity and inter-provincial harmony, stating that sustainable economic growth can only be achieved when all federating units move forward together. He said the government would continue to work closely with provincial governments to address local challenges and implement development initiatives effectively.
During his address, Shehbaz also outlined the government’s broader economic agenda, including measures to attract investment, expand exports, and maintain fiscal stability. He said recent economic indicators reflected gradual improvement and expressed confidence that ongoing reforms would contribute to long-term growth.
Members of the National Assembly discussed various development-related issues during the session, with lawmakers from different provinces calling for increased attention to regional needs and public welfare concerns.
The prime minister assured the House that the government would continue to prioritize projects that promote inclusive development and ensure that the benefits of economic progress reach people in every part of Pakistan.
