An alleged illegal kidney transplant scandal involving a patient at a private hospital has surfaced in Kasur district of Punjab.
A case has been registered on the complaint of the District Health Officer. The case includes three nominated suspects and five unidentified individuals.
According to police, during the operation, patient Sakina was found in critical condition. The transplanted kidney and related equipment were recovered from the scene and taken into custody.
Meanwhile, blood stained surgical equipment and cash were also recovered from the arrested suspects.
Investigating authorities further stated that the suspects were involved in illegal transplant activities as part of an organized group operating in different cities.
