Iranian President Calls for New Regional Security Framework Among Muslim Nations

Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for the establishment of a new regional security framework among Muslim nations, urging countries across the region to strengthen cooperation and work together to address common challenges.

Speaking at a public event, the Iranian president said Muslim countries should extend “the hands of friendship” to one another and pursue greater unity, dialogue, and collaboration. He emphasized that regional issues could be resolved more effectively through collective efforts and mutual understanding.

The president noted that enhanced cooperation among neighboring countries could contribute to peace, stability, and economic development. He also stressed the importance of reducing tensions and promoting diplomatic engagement as a means of preventing conflicts.

According to Iranian officials, the proposed framework would focus on regional cooperation in areas such as security, trade, development, and humanitarian assistance. They argued that stronger coordination among Muslim nations could help address emerging threats and strengthen regional resilience.

The remarks come amid ongoing discussions about regional security and the future of diplomatic relations across the Middle East. Analysts say proposals for greater cooperation are likely to generate debate among regional governments and policymakers.

Observers note that any new security arrangement would require broad participation and sustained diplomatic engagement to achieve meaningful results. Further discussions on the proposal are expected in the coming months.
