ISLAMABAD — Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah concluded an official visit to Pakistan on Wednesday, holding high-level consultations with the nation’s leadership focused on regional security, economic partnership, and bilateral cooperation. During his visit, the visiting dignitary called on Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, where discussions centered on mutual interests and strengthening military and strategic ties. Field Marshal Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to Kuwait, emphasizing their shared vision for regional peace, while Al-Sabah praised Pakistan’s steadfast support and constructive diplomatic contributions.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar hosted the Kuwaiti foreign minister for extensive delegation-level talks. PM Shehbaz expressed strong solidarity with Kuwait amid the ongoing Middle East conflict, condemning attacks on Gulf nations and highlighting Pakistan’s role as a sincere mediator. The discussions encompassed expanding cooperation across diverse sectors—including trade, investment, energy, IT, agriculture, and defense—before the visiting minister successfully concluded his trip and departed from Islamabad International Airport
