The meeting of the central committee, led by Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, took place at the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Islamabad. Zonal committees across the provinces gathered simultaneous reports, confirming that the new moon had been sighted.
For millions, this month holds deep spiritual significance. Streets, mosques, and public buildings across the country are expected to begin preparations for traditional processions and celebrations to mark the occasion.
