FAISALABAD: Hira Qaiser from Faisalabad was crowned the winner of Pakistan Idol 2026 at the grand finale on Sunday, securing a cash prize of Rs1.5 million.
Coming from a middle-class family, Hira impressed both the judges and viewers throughout the competition with her powerful vocals and consistent performances.
Her journey reached an emotional high at the grand finale, where she delivered a performance that further established her as one of the season’s standout contestants.
Host Shafaat Ali presented Hira with the winner’s award. She walked onto the stage holding her baby boy and accepted the trophy with tears in her eyes.
The announcement of her victory was followed by celebrations as confetti filled the venue and fellow contestants and judges gathered around her to congratulate the newly crowned winner.
Singers Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Atif Aslam, Bilal Maqsood and Zeb Bangash, along with actor Fawad Khan, were among those who joined the celebrations.
Overwhelmed by her success, Hira thanked the show and everyone who had supported her throughout the competition. She said she was extremely happy and grateful for the opportunity.
For her final performance, Hira performed a song by Mekaal Hasan and received an encouraging response from Atif Aslam and the judging panel. Her performance highlighted the vocal ability and stage presence that had helped her reach the finale.
Other finalists competing for the title included Maham Tahir from Khanpur, Waqar Hussain and Tarab Nafees from Karachi, Samya Gohar from Lahore, and Aryan Naveed Bhatti from Dera Ghazi Khan.
The finalists were also recognised for their performances and reportedly received Rs500,000 each in prize money.
With her victory, Hira Qaiser has added her name to the list of Pakistan Idol winners, bringing the 2026 season to an emotional and celebratory conclusion. The show’s collaboration with Express Entertainment also helped bring the contestants’ musical journeys to audiences across Pakistan.
