The two suspects were produced before Civil Judge Rana Shahnawaz Khan under tight security after completing their initial three-day physical remand. The court directed police to complete the investigation at the earliest and submit the challan. The suspects will be produced before the court again on August 28.

Police Await DNA Report

During the hearing, the investigating officer informed the court that Hina Javed’s post-mortem report had been received. However, the final challan will be prepared after the DNA report is received.

Police told the court that DNA samples of both suspects had already been collected and forensic examinations had been conducted. Investigators are also examining other forensic and technical evidence as they work to establish the circumstances surrounding Hina’s death.

Hina Found Dead in Bathroom

Hina Javed was found dead in the bathroom of her home in Rawalpindi’s Lalkurti area earlier this week. Police said her body was found with her hands tied behind her back and a wire around her neck that was attached to the shower.

The suspicious circumstances led police to register a murder case and arrest her husband and domestic worker. The case was registered at Civil Lines police station under Sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Post-Mortem Reveals Multiple Injuries

The preliminary post-mortem examination reportedly found a fractured neck bone, along with injuries to Hina’s ribs and hip. The report also indicated that blood had accumulated around the heart and in the pericardium.

However, the precise cause of death could not initially be determined, with further forensic examination required to establish the circumstances conclusively.

Father-in-Law Also Under Investigation

Hina’s father-in-law, Asghar Ali, has also been included in the investigation as a co-accused, although police have not arrested him. According to investigators, he has expressed ignorance about the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police are examining the role of each person involved before reaching a final conclusion.

Family’s Lawyer Says Investigation Moving Forward

Advocate Shah Khawar, representing Hina’s family, appeared before the court and said the investigation was moving in the right direction.

He said police had collected evidence and conducted forensic examinations, while Hina’s brothers and other family members were also present during the proceedings.

The case has attracted widespread public attention and calls for a transparent investigation into violence against women. The Women’s Parliamentary Caucus has also called for a fair and impartial probe and said it would continue monitoring developments in the case.

The suspects remain under investigation, and the allegations against them have yet to be proven in court.
