ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced another increase in petroleum prices, raising petrol by Rs2.10 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs0.30 per litre. According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division on Friday, the price of petrol has been increased from Rs390.66 to Rs392.76 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel has also been raised by 30 paisa, taking the new rate to Rs399.64 per litre from Rs399.34. The revised petroleum prices will remain effective for October 3, 4 and 5, according to the notification.
The latest adjustment comes a day after the government revised fuel prices, increasing petrol by Rs3.26 per litre while reducing high-speed diesel by Rs1.01 per litre. The successive revisions come amid fluctuations in international oil markets and adjustments under the domestic petroleum pricing mechanism.
