The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has launched a digital licensing system to register medical and dental colleges in Punjab, removing the need for professionals to travel to Islamabad.
With the new system, all registration services are now available through the PMDC office in Lahore, and applicants will receive their original certificates via courier for added convenience.
PMDC President Dr. Rizwan Taj described the initiative as a landmark move, highlighting that the online portal provides comprehensive support to applicants.
Looking forward, Dr. Taj confirmed that the digital system will be expanded nationwide in phases. Phase two will include Peshawar and Karachi, phase three will cover Jamshoro and Balochistan, and phase four will extend to Multan.
This development is part of PMDC’s broader efforts to streamline licensing processes, enhance service delivery, and improve accessibility for medical professionals across Pakistan.
