Karachi – June 14, 2025: In a major breakthrough, a joint operation conducted by Sindh Rangers and Karachi Police led to the arrest of a most-wanted criminal, Sohail, in the Moosa Colony area of Karachi.
According to a spokesperson for the Rangers, the operation was based on intelligence reports and resulted in the capture of Sohail, who was allegedly involved in multiple cases of targeted killings and drug trafficking. Authorities described him as a dangerous individual wanted in several serious criminal cases.
The Rangers revealed that Sohail, along with his accomplices, was involved in the brutal killing of eight laborers in 1991. In 2003, he allegedly targeted and killed members of two different religious organizations. During initial interrogation, the suspect also confessed to the murder of a 12-year-old boy in 2013, stating he bound the child’s hands and feet before killing him in Moosa Colony.
Following the launch of the Rangers’ operation in 2014, Sohail reportedly fled Pakistan to evade arrest and relocated to Bangladesh. There, he was apprehended in a narcotics case and served a four-year prison sentence.
After completing his sentence, he returned to Karachi in 2018 and resumed drug trafficking activities in Moosa Colony with the help of his brother and associates.
The Rangers spokesperson confirmed that multiple FIRs have been registered against Sohail and that he had long been on the radar of law enforcement agencies. Further investigations are underway, and raids are being carried out to arrest his remaining accomplices.
The Rangers reiterated their commitment to eradicating criminal elements from Karachi and stated that operations will continue until lasting peace is restored in the city.
