The Director General Health Sindh has issued a daily report on the dengue situation in the province, stating that 260 new dengue cases have been reported in the past 24 hours.
According to the report, 43 new dengue patients were admitted to government hospitals in Sindh, while 34 cases were reported in private hospitals. The total number of admitted dengue patients in the province has reached 71.
In Karachi Division, 25 new patients were admitted to government hospitals, while 9 new cases were reported in government hospitals in Hyderabad.
According to the Health Department, 42 patients were discharged after recovering from government hospitals, and 45 patients were declared recovered in private hospitals. The report states that no deaths from dengue were reported in the past 24 hours.
The report further mentioned that a total of 3,328 people were tested for dengue in government and private laboratories across the province, out of which 260 tested positive. Karachi laboratories reported 147 positive cases, while Hyderabad laboratories reported 113 positive cases.
The Director General Health Sindh has appealed to citizens to keep their homes and surroundings clean, avoid stagnant water, and follow dengue prevention measures.
