Actor Mukul Dev Passes Away in Delhi at 54

Veteran Indian film and television actor Mukul Dev passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 54 in a New Delhi hospital. He had been unwell for several days and was admitted to the ICU prior to his demise. The exact cause of death has not been officially confirmed.

Dev’s friend and fellow actor Vindu Dara Singh confirmed the news, stating that Mukul had been hospitalized for the past 8–10 days. Singh noted that after the death of his parents, Dev had become reclusive, rarely stepping out or meeting people.

Mukul Dev was known for his versatile roles across Hindi, Punjabi, and South Indian films, as well as Indian television dramas. He made his acting debut in the 1996 film Dastak and appeared in notable films such as Son of Sardaar, R… Rajkumar, and Jai Ho. He was also a trained pilot and had worked in the aviation industry before entering the entertainment field.

His last rites were scheduled to be performed at Dayanand Mukti Dham in Delhi’s Nizamuddin at 5 PM on May 24, 2025.

The entertainment industry and fans have expressed deep sorrow over his sudden demise, remembering him as a talented and beloved actor. Tributes have poured in from colleagues and admirers, highlighting his contributions to Indian cinema and television.
