Pakistani television actress Anoushay Abbasi has confirmed her divorce from actor Ainan Arif, revealing that the separation actually took place in 2019. The Pyaray Afzal star shared that she chose to keep the matter private out of respect for her ailing mother.
Abbasi, who married Ainan Arif in 2014, explained that she did not want her mother—who was gravely ill at the time—to be burdened by questions or stress related to her personal life. “I didn’t want my mother to be troubled while she was already unwell, so I decided to keep it away from the media,” she said.
The actress further shared that her marriage lasted only five years before ending in divorce. After her mother’s passing in 2021, she felt stronger and eventually decided to speak openly about the matter. Abbasi also reflected on losing both her parents, mentioning that her father had passed away in 2012, and her siblings grew closer after their mother’s death in order to honor their parents’ wishes.
This revelation marks closure to a significant chapter in Anoushay Abbasi’s personal life. She stated that she has now made peace with the situation and is focusing on her professional career.
