For the first time in Pakistan, advanced technology has been introduced for the treatment of heart rhythm disorders in children.

‎In Karachi, a special facility is now also available in a government hospital for the treatment of pediatric heart diseases, while modern treatment for irregular heartbeat in children has also been initiated. Treatment for pediatric heart rhythm disorders will also be available at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases.

‎Treatment will be possible through EP studies, pacemakers, and ICD devices. According to experts, timely diagnosis can save children’s lives, and every year 4,000 to 5,000 newborns are born with heart related issues.

‎Experts have advised parents to pay immediate attention to symptoms of heart rhythm disorders in children.

‎Rapid or irregular heartbeat in children is a warning sign.
