KARACHI: Renowned actress Bushra Ansari has spoken out in defense of late actress Ayesha Khan’s children, calling the social media accusations against them unfair and insensitive following their mother’s tragic death.
In an emotional video posted on Instagram, Bushra expressed deep sorrow over Ayesha Khan’s mysterious death, while urging the public to avoid making harsh judgments. Ayesha was found dead in her Karachi home on June 20, and police later revealed that her body had been lying there for at least a week.
Following the discovery, several social media users criticized her children, accusing them of neglect. However, Bushra insisted that such blame is unjustified without knowing the full context.
She shared that Ayesha had chosen not to live abroad with her children, despite being invited multiple times. According to Bushra, Ayesha had five or six children living in different countries who regularly supported her financially and ensured she had everything she needed.
Bushra further revealed that Ayesha preferred living in her own home in Karachi, where she was surrounded by familiar faces and friends. She had a housemaid who helped with meals and daily tasks, and Ayesha often spoke fondly of her peaceful life.
While acknowledging that the children might have been careless for not checking in for a few days, Bushra urged the public to stop spreading negativity. “They must be grieving; let’s not add to their pain without full knowledge,” she added.
Despite her plea, some social media users remained skeptical, questioning how both the children and close friends failed to notice her absence for so many days.
Investigations into the exact cause of Ayesha Khan’s death are ongoing, as the public continues to respond with a mix of sorrow and speculation.
