Islamabad — Following the recent hike in diesel prices, the government has now announced an increase in the prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil (LDO) as well, adding further pressure on low-income households and small businesses.
According to the latest price update, kerosene — widely used in rural areas for cooking and heating — has seen a noticeable rise, while the cost of light diesel, commonly used in small machinery and agricultural engines, has also gone up.
Economic analysts warn that the increase may impact transportation costs, agricultural operations, and daily household budgets. Many citizens have expressed concern, saying that frequent price hikes are making essential fuels harder to afford.
Government officials say the price adjustments are linked to fluctuations in global oil markets.
