Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar has said that AI cameras have been installed in hospitals across the province to ensure doctors’ attendance. A list of doctors who have been receiving salaries while residing abroad has also been prepared.

‎Speaking in Quetta, the provincial health minister added that action will be taken against those who have been drawing salaries from abroad since 2011. Salaries paid to doctors who have been absent for years will be recovered as well.

‎Bakht Muhammad Kakar further stated that doctors who remain absent from duty will be dismissed from service. Several doctors have been on deputation with international organizations for 10 to 12 years, he said.

‎He added that doctors on deputation will be reassigned to hospitals, and complaints regarding the shortage of medicines or doctors’ absence can be registered through the helpline.
