Karachi, October 2025:
Students of Aligarh Institute of Technology (AIT) achieved remarkable success at the Quaid-e-Millat Quiz Competition 2025, organized by the Pakistan Quiz Society International at Liaquat National Hospital, Karachi. The event was held to commemorate the 74th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed-e-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan.
Among 52 competing teams from leading universities and colleges—including Liaquat National University, Dow University, Ziauddin University, and Jinnah Sindh Medical University—AIT’s first-year Architecture students Hafsa Zohaib and Almira Arshad secured second position through their exceptional intelligence, confidence, and preparation.
The competition was presided over by renowned author Dr. Muhammad Raza Kazmi, while Mahfooz-un-Nabi Khan (Acting President, Liaquat Ali Khan Memorial Society), Prof. Dr. Salman Fareedi (Medical Director, Liaquat National Hospital), and Dr. Altaf Mukkati (Vice President, SZABIST) graced the event as guests of honor.
AIT Convener Syed Muhammad Mohsin Kazim attributed the achievement to the students’ dedication and faculty guidance. Principal Shahid Jameel lauded the winners, saying, “Hafsa Zohaib and Almira Arshad have elevated not only AIT’s name but also upheld the proud Aligarh educational legacy.” The institute also announced special appreciation certificates and awards for the winners.
Coordinators Irshad Ahmed and Ms. Wasima Shameem from AIT’s DIIL and Guidance Center congratulated the students, calling the victory “a reflection of AIT’s academic vision and organized mentorship.”
Moreover, AIT’s Pakistan Quiz Team “B”, comprising Tajwar Mujahid and Anzila Sehr Khan (Biomedical Technology), also represented the institute commendably.
